Believing in what you do is the main ingredient for success

In a small village in the southwest of France, there is a local shop for delicious roasted chicken. For years, Adam Bel Ghazouani’s mum has been buying the delicacy every Sunday. One day, somewhere around December 2023, she noticed that the shop was equipped with myPOS Go 2. This brought a smile on her face because it made her think about her son – he has recently started working for myPOS France.

Adam Bel Ghazouani, Marketing Product Manager in our French office, has been a valuable part of our team for over a year. During this time, he gained diverse experience and started calling his journey here the ‘myPOS adventure’. Below, he dives deeper into the reasons why.

Why did you decide to join myPOS?

After working in different industries, ranging from tire manufacturing to telecommunications, I decided it is time for a change. While working for my previous employer, I gained interest in fintech and heard about myPOS for the first time.

France is a strategic country for myPOS which poses a lot of challenges. This piqued my curiosity and several meetings, as well as a visit to the Paris store, convinced me to join the myPOS adventure.

What inspires you in your day-to-day work?

The cultural diversity at myPOS, as well as the different profiles I work with every day, inspire me constantly. My daily work consists of discussions with French, Bulgarian, Italian and Dutch colleagues who work as managers, resellers, marketers, product owners, etc. This plurality is very inspiring because it gives me various perspectives and I get to know the business to its core.

What aspect of your work do you feel has the greatest impact on merchants’ success, and why?

Part of my work includes collaborating with the sales teams. Together, we set up operations or partnerships with customers. This enables us to offer them the best solutions at the best prices, which is crucial, especially for SMEs.

Do you feel the company values match with your personal values and why?

I have always believed in putting your best in everything you do. In this regard, myPOS is a company that rewards hard work and dedication. Plus, there is a pool of internal opportunities for people who want to develop further and grow in their field.

How would you describe your team? How do you collaborate effectively?

Since I am a part of two teams – the local team myPOS France and the overall marketing team in the biggest operations center abroad, – communication can be tricky. However, I make it work by managing my time effectively, prioritizing my tasks, and being as clear as possible in my communication. Frequent exchanges and updates are also crucial, and I catch up with both of my teams several times a day.

In your opinion, which is the main ingredient for the success of myPOS? How do you contribute to that success?

Everyone at myPOS is really engaged with the mission of the company. We believe in what we do, and I think this is one of the main ingredients for success.

France is a big market for myPOS, but we have only several colleagues here. So, there are times when I am needed on different fronts – from handling orders to looking for an advertising agency with which we want to run a large campaign. This diversity makes me believe I contribute in many ways, and I am happy to do so.

What growth opportunities does myPOS provide?

There are a lot of different opportunities, depending on your job role and department. Personally, for me, the opportunity was creating a marketing team in France. I had the opportunity to recruit my dream colleague while being supported by my managers. I am grateful for this chance and Eugenie, who acts amazing as Junior Marketing Project Manager.

What is something people might not know about myPOS?

Many people might not know that myPOS is in more than 35 countries and has three stores in France – Paris, Lyon, and Aix-en-Provence, and we welcome a great number of customers every day. Our physical stores allow us to get closer to our clients, understand their needs better, and offer the most suitable myPOS products for their business.
