Shaping the future: myPOS supports young talent through mentorship

At myPOS, fostering a stronger local community has always been at the heart of our mission. Our commitment extends beyond supporting businesses; it’s about making a meaningful impact on people’s lives. This led us to embrace mentoring young individuals aged 18 to 25 through a partnership with Mentor the Young.

Meeting the myPOS mentors

Our incredible myPOS managers find time to not only help the small business grow through modern payment solutions but also to share their experience with young people seeking professional advice. In 2024, myPOS had 9 mentors from the following areas:
– Marketing.
– Product development.
– Integrations.

It’s a privilege to help shape their future and empower them with the tools and insights they need to succeed”, shares Viktor Ivanov, Head of Integrations, whose mentee is already a full-time employee at myPOS.  

Welcoming the mentees 

To help young talent develop, myPOS also welcomed mentees from the local community in its biggest operations center.  The full day of activities included a fun business simulation – a dynamic board game, crafting business strategies and learning hands-on. The 27 attendees learned tips on how to best track results, build strong teams, and manage challenges on the road to success.

This initiative reflects the core goal of our mentorship efforts: to contribute to building a future society we can take pride in — a community driven by shared knowledge, collaboration, and growth.

Mentorship plays a pivotal role in shaping a person’s journey, especially during the transformative years between 18 and 25. This stage of life is marked by crucial transitions, exploration, and decisions that define future personal and professional paths. A strong mentorship relationship during this period builds confidence, enhances decision-making, and equips individuals to overcome challenges, laying the groundwork for long-term success and fulfillment.
