Digitalisation is helping businesses grow and Nutrio Bar exemplifies this trend. In this blog post, we’ll delve into how this small business is successfully establishing a business model, balancing healthy eating and today’s fast-paced lifestyle, while becoming a hybrid between a tech and a restaurant company. With franchises, partnerships and modern tools like a mobile ordering app and myPOS card machines, Nutrio Bar has managed to expand to 5 locations.
In the face of ongoing industry shifts and heightened customer expectations, Nutrio Bar demonstrates a strong commitment to adaptation and development, emphasising the importance of innovation.
The story of Nutrio Bar
Nutrio Bar opened in 2015 with a mission to offer high-quality, nutritious food. This aim is reflected in the brand name itself, which comes from the word “nutrition”. At the heart of the company are quality raw ingredients, paired with flavourful sauces, resulting in a diverse and wholesome menu tailored for both active athletes and individuals with specific dietary needs.
“Consistency in quality and taste is paramount for our customer’s favourite dishes. We take pride in cultivating a loyal consumer base,” remarked Anton Gigov, co-founder and manager of the company.
The restaurant’s innovative concept quickly captured the hearts of hundreds, leading to the opening of a second location just two years after its launch. To stay ahead in a rapidly evolving industry, the company introduced its online food ordering platform, followed by a user-friendly mobile app, streamlining the ordering and payment process for customers.
However, Nutrio Bar envisions more than just convenience. Believing that fast, healthy food establishments are the future of modern living, the company actively seeks new avenues for growth and development.
“Over time, we realised that we had already accumulated enough knowledge and experience on how to turn our working model into a franchise, while continuing to guarantee customers consistency in terms of both raw materials and the final product. At the same time, this allows us to focus on brand development and increasing the efficiency of the establishments. Thanks to our partners, we are constantly discovering new ways to optimise the operational processes.”
The franchise strategy quickly gained success, with the first Nutrio Bar franchise opening its doors in 2019. Yet, the journey does not stop there – Nutrio Bar remains committed to expanding its franchise network to new territories, aspiring to introduce its concept worldwide.
Variety leads customers
In a world where dynamics and stress are inherent in our daily routines, prioritising a healthier lifestyle, particularly through food choices, is crucial.
Recognising this need, the company provides a variety of options to cater to diverse dietary preferences. Whether adhering to vegetarian, vegan, raw food, paleo or gluten-free diets, clients can discover dishes that not only satisfy their hunger but also align with their expectations.
Among the restaurant’s standout offerings is the artisan sandwich. Nutrio Bar crafts its sandwiches using rustic whole wheat baguettes complemented by fresh vegetables, premium meats and house-made sauces. Additionally, a variety of balanced combinations of carbohydrates, healthy fats and vegetables are available in the form of fresh salads and main dishes. For those indulging their sweet tooth, homemade raw desserts, protein shakes and smoothies await. Recently, Nutrio Bar has partnered with another restaurant – 43.12, to offer its customers real specialty coffee with proven origins, enhancing the overall dining experience.
Convenience and advanced payments with myPOS
Technology is an integral part of the world around us, so it’s important to keep up with innovation. Nutrio Bar manages to integrate digitalisation into its operations to deliver enhanced flexibility and better service to its clientele.
“Since the beginning, we recognised the importance of blending technology and the restaurant industry to expand our reach. This was one of the main reasons we chose myPOS as our partner.”
The company has equipped its restaurants with myPOS Mini, Carbon and Fiscal card machines to enable card payments.
“The convenience and modern look of the compact payment card machines, the instant settlement of funds from account sales and the zero monthly fees provide great opportunities for a startup business.”
To further optimise payments and elevate customer service, Nutrio Bar integrates the Payment Request functionality into its operations. This enables the company to accept payments without the need for a card machine or online shop. Customers can pay remotely through a payment link that can be sent via SMS, chat or email. Upon clicking the link, customers are directed to a secure page to input their details and pay for the order. The funds are available in the myPOS account within a few seconds and can be used immediately.
“We’ve pleasantly surprised our customers with the Payment Request feature, enhancing our ability to deliver innovative and top-notch service,” remarks Anton Gigov.
Nutrio Bar has successfully grown its business by focusing on customers and meeting their ever-changing demands and needs. Adaptation, technological innovation and strategic partnerships play a key role in the success of the company, making it an example of how technology can support the restaurant industry and create balance in a hectic everyday life.
